Background

Anita Ofori is a Sustainability Advocate, Youth Empowerment Champion, a Banker, and Executive Director of Women for Sustainability Africa, a non-profit organization advancing climate action while empowering women and girls. Anita has a background in banking and a growing focus on sustainability. She works at the intersection of finance, business ecosystems, and environmental impact. She is passionate about driving practical solutions that enable individuals and businesses to integrate sustainability into everyday operations. Anita has led and supported a range of capacity-building and training initiatives focused on climate change, green entrepreneurship, and youth development. Through these programs, she equips young people especially women, with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build climate-smart businesses and access opportunities within the green economy. She has impacted over 5,000 individuals through her mentorship, structured training programs, and climate education initiatives. Her work is rooted in creating sustainable pathways for economic empowerment, particularly for young women and underserved communities. She is committed to youth development and believes that young people are central to driving sustainable and inclusive growth.
